Pulled Pork Menu With Delicious Classics And New Twists

pulled pork menuPulled pork is a delicious dish that’s made from tender, slow-cooked pig meat that’s pulled apart and served with barbecue sauce. Because of slow cooking and low temperature, the pork turns out so easily broken into individual pieces. It’s indeed a popular dish served not only in the US but also in other parts of the world. So if you’re planning to serve this meal to your friends and loved ones this weekend, read on and take a look at our suggested side dishes, beverage and dessert that will make the eating party even more memorable!

1. Classic Mac N’ Cheese

Who would say no to classic mac n’cheese? Definitely not us! Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Heat butter in a pan. Sauté an onion and garlic in it. Add flour, cayenne and pour milk in, a little at a time. Make sure to stir continuously. Bring this to a boil and then add cheddar and parmesan cheese. Add salt and pepper then combine the sauce with your boiled macaroni. Toss in a buttered casserole dish then bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.

2. Herb Potato Salad

Instead of mashed potatoes, make a herb potato salad to add more flavor to your menu! In a bowl, combine chives, parsley, tarragon, scallions, mustard, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. Add some boiled potatoes and toss to evenly distribute the sauce.

3. Jalapeno Cornbread

Instead of plain, traditional cornbread, add jalapenos to deliver a chili twist! Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, salt and baking soda in a bowl. Whisk eggs, buttermilk, butter and pickled jalapenos. Stir the mixture then pour it in a buttered skillet. Top the mixture with sliced jalapenos then bake this at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 to 25 minutes!

4. Fried Pickles

Fried pickles will give your meal a sweet, sour and a bit chili taste! In a bowl, combine flour, Cajun seasoning, Italian seasoning, cayenne pepper, salt and water. Whisk the mixture until it is smooth. Add the pickle slices to the batter and toss to ensure that everything’s coated well. Fry them in peanut oil until they’re golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve with sauce made from mayonnaise, ketchup, Cajun seasoning and horseradish.

5. Peach Crumble

Sweet peaches! Yes, that’s what you’re going to say when you get a taste of this delicious goodness! In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar and cornstarch. Add peach slices and toss them. Once done, place them in a baking dish. Get your food processor and combine flour, sugar and cinnamon. Mix the ingredients until they are almost crumbly. Pour this mixture on top of the peach slices in the baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 t0 45 minutes.

6. Homemade Cherry Soda

Instead of serving soda made from unhealthy ingredients, make your own cherry flavored booster! Heat cherry juice, water and agave in a saucepan. Mix them well. Once done, pour the mixture in a pitcher, add some club soda and stir. Serve with ice!
